Dewi Kharisma Michellia is a writer working in various genres, from romance, crime, mystery/horror, to sci-fi and fantasy. Her published works include the novel Surat Panjang tentang Jarak Kita yang Jutaan Tahun Cahaya (A Long Letter of Our Million Light-Years Distance, 2013) and the short story collection Elegi (An Elegy, 2017).
She cofounded Penerbit OAK, an indie publisher based in Yogyakarta, along with 3 other colleagues in 2015. In 2018, along with 12 other female colleagues, she ran Ruang Perempuan dan Tulisan (Women Writers Space and Writings), a collective dedicated to reading and promoting works by women writers from Indonesia.

Dewi Kharisma Michellia lahir di Denpasar pada 1991. Berprofesi sebagai penulis, penerjemah, dan editor, serta berpengalaman menulis novel, reportase, dan cerita pendek.
Dalam karier kepenulisannya, pada 2015, Dewi menerima penghargaan Taruna Sastra dari Badan Pengembangan dan Pembinaan Bahasa. Pada 2017, ia menjalani residensi penulis di Orly dan Paris, Perancis yang diselenggarakan oleh Komite Buku Nasional. Pada 2018, ia terlibat di kolektif Ruang Perempuan dan Tulisan. Sejak 2018 pula, ia menjadi penerjemah jurnal akademik yang berfokus pada isu Asia Tenggara untuk kyotoreview.org. Pernah pula mendirikan penerbit indie berbasis di Yogyakarta, Penerbit OAK, dan mengampu peran sebagai redaktur pelaksana untuk berbagai terbitan online sejak 2013, di antaranya jakartabeat.net dan jurnalruang.com. Saat ini, ia aktif mengasuh situs web kritik sastra tengara.id yang dikelola oleh Dewan Kesenian Jakarta selaku redaktur pelaksana.
Karyanya Surat Panjang Tentang Jarak Kita yang Jutaan Tahun Cahaya terbit di Gramedia Pustaka Utama pada 2013 setelah menjadi pemenang unggulan di Sayembara Novel Dewan Kesenian Jakarta 2012, yang lantas meraih penghargaan daftar pendek Khatulistiwa Literary Award 2013. Pada 2016, novelnya A Copy of My Mind, sebuah novel adaptasi dari film, diterbitkan oleh Grasindo. Masih di Grasindo, pada 2017, terbit pula kumpulan cerpen perdananya Elegi. Tulisan lepasnya tersebar di berbagai media massa, di antaranya pindai.org, asymptotejournal.com, Koran Tempo, Jawa Pos, Media Indonesia, Bali Post, jakartabeat.net, indoprogress.com, dan Jurnal Perempuan.
